Hall of Fame Selection Process

  1. If there is a member of the community you would like to nominate for Hall of Fame consideration, start by downloading and filling out the nomination form.

  2. Prepare a summary of the nominee's biography, not to exceed two pages. Whereas the nomination form should present primary points for consideration, the summary should offer more detail and include other achievements not listed on the primary form.

  3. Gather letters of reference to corroborate information in the form and summary. Such letters should come from coaches, teammates, and community figures whose knowledge of the nominee would hold weight.

  4. Send all documents, by mail or email, to:

NOTE: The optimal time of year to send your nomination package is between August (when the Foundation holds its annual Hall of Fame Banquet) and the following January (when it convenes to consider that year's inductees).

There are four categories of nominees. Consider these qualifications when filling out the forms.

Team: The Selection Committee will consider any nominated team three years post-championship.

Athletes: The Committee will consider any nominated athlete three years after graduation.

Coaches: The Committee will consider any nominated coach three years after retirement OR has coached for at least ten years at any Flagstaff-based school that is sanctioned by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA).

Contributors: The Committee will consider any person nominated as a contributor, based on merit as it pertains to serving Flagstaff and its athletic community.
